Annaliese came over to the new studio to help me play with different lighting and also test the new space. The plan was to shoot from all angles, making the most of the space. I built this place in a way so everything has more than one purpose and although it does work as a normal studio, I didn’t want to put any backdrops up but rather use the environment.
With a mix of flash, constant lighting (LED) and natural light, this is what we came up with. A silver beauty dish was used for all photos as we were going for a more harsh lighting, and my 600W strobe had to be dialled down to its lowest power to be able to shoot around f/2. All photos taken with Sony A7 III and Sony 85mm f/1.4.
I hope you enjoy the results. I do have a Studio Workshop happening here on the 7th March 2021, with a limit of only 5 photographers (as of time of writing this, only 3 spots left) where I teach lots about lighting, how to turn any space into a studio, etc.
ISO 100, 1/200s, f/2.
